Community rules
The rules the moderators published, in their order, each marked for posts, comments, or both. Moderators remove what breaks them, and repeated breaks can get an account banned from the community.
Type a community name or paste a link to it to see its rules, the post types it takes, whether it requires a flair, and which flairs you can pick.

Text, images, video, links, galleries, and polls. Reddit's post form leaves out a type the community turned off, so a post of that type cannot be submitted there.
Labels the community sorts posts by. When a flair is required, Reddit refuses the post until you pick one of the listed flairs.
The NSFW, Spoiler, and Brand affiliate tags the post form offers. Communities often require them for adult content, story details, and paid partnerships.
Public communities take posts from anyone who follows the rules. In restricted ones only approved users can post, and archived ones take no new posts.
A note the moderators put above the post form, often with a title format or a link to the wiki. Treat it as part of the rules.
Most removed posts break a rule the author skipped. A minute with the rules keeps the post up and the account in good standing with the moderators.
Look for limits on self-promotion, title formats, required sources, and topics allowed only on certain days.
Share a link, an image, or a video only where that type is allowed, and keep galleries and polls to communities that offer them.
When a flair is required, pick the one that describes the post. Moderators move or remove posts with the wrong flair.
Mark adult content and plot details, so readers know what they open and moderators have no reason to remove the post.
Many communities also filter posts by account age, karma, or keywords through AutoModerator. Reddit does not publish those settings, so a post from a new account may wait for review.
The same post in many communities within minutes looks like spam to Reddit and to moderators. Write each post for its community and leave time between them.
