Reddit posting through Queber REST API

Queber REST API is for external tools that need an HTTP integration instead of an MCP client. It lets authorized apps discover Queber capabilities and send Reddit posting jobs and Reddit post checks to Queber Desktop, where the browser automation runs locally through your connected profiles.

When to use the REST API

Use REST when you are integrating a backend service, internal dashboard, no-code tool or custom script. Use MCP when the caller is an MCP-capable AI client. Both surfaces still rely on Queber Desktop for the final browser execution.

Authorization model

Create a personal API token with the scopes you need in the Queber account area and send it as an Authorization Bearer header, or use an OAuth app for clients that need user consent. Do not place secrets in public frontend code. Keep tokens limited to the app that needs them and revoke unused clients.

Typical REST flow

Your tool authorizes access, checks available Queber capabilities, chooses a browser profile and sends a Reddit posting request. Queber validates the request, creates a local job and runs it when the desktop app and provider profile are available. The caller can inspect status and handle retained failures according to the API response.

Checking Reddit posts

To track posts after publishing, create a job with automationType post_read and the post links in platformData.reddit.post_read.links: full post links, old.reddit, redd.it, profile posts and share links all work. Poll GET /actions/jobs/{jobId} until the job completes, then read resultData.reddit.post_read: one item per link with its status (ok, removed, not_found or failed), score, upvote ratio, comments and, for your own posts, views.

POST /actions/jobs/run
{ "profileId": "<profile id>", "platform": "reddit", "automationType": "post_read",
  "platformData": { "reddit": { "post_read": { "links": [ "https://redd.it/1abe456" ] } } } }

Views come only for posts of the profile that checks, rounded the way Reddit shows them, and each check of your own post adds one view on Reddit. The job fails only when no link could be checked. A run is charged when it checked at least one post, and your plan sets how many links one run may take.

OpenAPI and documentation

The REST API page links to the current OpenAPI document and Swagger UI. Use those machine-readable docs for exact endpoints and payload fields, because the API contract should be treated as the source of truth for implementation details.

Operational limits

The API does not bypass Reddit rules, community moderation or browser-provider limits. Queber runs Reddit posting and Reddit post checks. Successful runs spend credits at the price of their automation. Review plans and credit prices before building high-volume flows.
